Francisco Rodriguez threw a successful bullpen session at Tradition Field today.

Rodriguez will throw again tomorrow, and hopes to pitch in a game this weekend.
…for whatever reason, i feel more confident in K-Rod when he’s wearing those sunglasses, like he looked when dominating for the Angels… also, he said he has no idea who Goose Gossage is, when asked about goose’s recent comments about him being a ‘clown.’… baseball is supposed to be fun, and entertaining… K-Rod is fun, and entertaining… end of story… be you, buddy…
Rodriguez returned to camp yesterday, after being sidelined with a severe case of ‘pink eye.’
I’m not too worried about K*ROD this year. I think if we compete, he’ll be fine.
I agree with you on that one. When the Mets where in the race last year he was flat out dominating. The guy has been on a playoff type team his whole career. I am sure it was tough for him to get up for the games the last few months of the season when the Mets where way out of it. Plus he would go a bunch of days without getting in a game because the Mets were not winning, not used on a constantly I am sure hurt as well.
He will be fine IMO
I think it is more the long stretches of inactivity that hurt him. It is tough to not pitch for a week and then perform. KRod is the type of guy who needs to get his work.
Clowns are fun and entertaining
If k-rod is a clown, then that means Joba is a buffoon. Funny how Gossage neglected to remark about Joba’s antics. Moreover, k-rod gestures to the sky to honor his grandmother. Joba gestures and acts up to honor himself.
I like k-rod’s glasses better too. Those yellow contacts he wore made him look like a vampire.
As long as he shuts ‘em down in the 9th, he can wear a red nose and floppy slippers on the mound for all I care.

Agreed if K-Rod is a clown then Goose is king of the clowns with that stach. I did not hear anything about Goose calling him a clown though, can someone explain his comments or post the link to the story?
Has anyone noticed that since Goose got inducted into the Hall Of Fame that he now seems to be critical of everyone?

This is the guy who played for a team owned by George Steinbrenner, starring Reggie Jackson and managed off and on by Billy Martin (who said of the other two “One’s a liar and the other’s convicted”). I guess Goose knows his clowns.
goose played in a different era of baseball…… krod set the record as we all know for most saves in a season, he can do whatever he wants to do. if being a ” clown ” makes baseball fun, competitive, for krod, so be it, it obviously works for him… if he wants to be a clown and save 60 games for the mets im all for it ….. and i love krods attitude!!!! last year when bruney made the comments about him celebrating, the way he dissed him saying brian bruney ? who is that?….. i love that… ” i dont even no who goose is ” i love you krod… i love his attitude, his energy, everything about him hes a guy teams need to have.
i love krod’s reactions to these things, he never lets these things get to him
