Pre-Game: Giants vs. Mets
The Mets (17-13) will go for the series sweep against the Giants (17-12) this afternoon at Citi Field. Game time is 1:10 pm.

Oliver Perez (0-2, 4.05 ERA) will start for the Mets. Perez is still in search of his first win of the season, but pitched well enough to win his last start in Cincinnati when he went six innings and allowed just two runs. His career numbers against the Giants aren’t exactly stellar, as he’s 0-5 with a 7.07 ERA in nine career starts.
Tim Lincecum (4-0, 1.70 ERA) will start Giants. The two time Cy Young Award winner is off to a fast start in 2010, leading the league in strikeouts with 56 and averaging over seven innings per start. However, his career numbers against the Mets are not good, as he’s 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA in three career starts.
