News: Jose Lima Dies of Heart Attack
According to Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes, former Met pitcher Jose Lima has died of a massive heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.
Lima pitched for the Mets in 2006, which was final season in the Majors, and pitched to an 0-4 record.
He was a key component for the Houston Astros as their number two starting pitcher behind Mike Hampton in the late 1990′s, winning 21 games for Houston in 1999, helping them to the National League Central Division title.
Lima was just 37 years old.
