…it’s so hard to explain… it could be anything, ranging from pre-game batting practice and preparation, to the opposing pitcher, to the way Jerry Manuel manages without having last licks, to travel, to just dumb luck… either way, it’s stark, as the Mets are 19–9 at home, but 8–18 on the road… i mean, if the Mets were just .500 on the road, they’d be the best team in the National League and in first place by one game…
