by Michael Baron on June 26th, 2010 at 12:10 pm

The Mets (42-31) will look for a series win today against the Twins (40-33) at Citi Field. Game time is 7:10 pm.

Rod Barajas, who has been sidelined with a sore back, will make his return to the lineup.

However, the scoreboard at Citi Field says Alex Cora is in the lineup and batting eighth and not Ruben Tejada, who was in the original lineup this morning.

The lineup is as follows:

1. Jose Reyes SS
2. Jesus Feliciano CF
3. David Wright 3B
4. Ike Davis 1B
5. Jason Bay LF
6. Rod Barajas C
7. Jeff Francoeur RF
8. Alex Cora 2B

Johan Santana (5-4 3.31 ERA) will start for the Mets. Santana has allowed four earned runs in each of his last three starts, and has a 4.05 ERA in the month of June. Santana is making his first career start against the Twins today.

Carl Pavano (8-6, 3.64 ERA) will start for the Twins. Pavano owns a three game winning streak, and hurled a complete game against the Phillies last Sunday, allowing just a run on four hits. Pavano is making his 21st career appearance against the Mets and 19th start, and he’s 7-7 with a 3.60 ERA against them.
