News: Angel Pagan Will Not Start Monday
Angel Pagan felt pain in his left side today, and will not be in tomorrow’s lineup against the Marlins in San Juan.
After today’s 6-0 win over the Twins, Pagan told reporters:
“I still have a little bit of discomfort…and we’re going to give it a few more days…No doubt, it’s frustrating. I’m just being optimistic. I’m having a lot of faith it’s not going to be too long and I’ll be back soon.”
…well, if this goes on for much longer, i can’t see how the Mets can’t DL him…i want him back, and most importantly, i want him to maintain the groove he is in, but at the same time he is eating up a roster spot by not playing, which limits Jerry Manuel’s flexibility on the bench…
