Note: Today’s Starting Luneup
Today, the Mets are featuring seven homegrown players in their starting lineup, with Carlos Beltran and R.A. Dickey being the only players in the lineup who came from outside the Mets organization.
The last time the Mets featured seven homegrown players in their lineup was July 22, 1990, when Mark Carreon, Dave Magadan, Gregg Jefferies, Darryl Strawberry, Kevin Elster, Todd Hundley, and Dwight Gooden started against the Braves at Shea Stadium.
