Mets 8 Games Back of Wild Card, 32 Left

The Mets begin a 10–game road trip tonight, first taking on the first-place Braves, then facing the weaker Cubs and Nationals.
The problem continues to be, like was the case last week, though the Mets are clearly able to play around .500 baseball – that much we know – at this point, to win a post-season spot, they have go to do more than win one, lose one, win two, lose two, etc. Eventually, they’ll have to rattle off six, seven, eight in a row, and then keep winning series…
