Tracking Poll: Should Mets top 7-yrs, $145m for Reyes?
Last week, an agent told Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports that he expects Jose Reyes to get a seven-year deal worth around $145 million.
Later that day, WFAN’s Mike Francesa repeatedly said on air (based on what he’s hearing from people around the game) at least one team will offer Reyes that type of deal, and Sandy Alderson is not likely to match it (not because of financial restrictions, but because it’s not Alderson’s style to commit to a player for that long).
