News: Pelfrey To Triple-A, Sosa Returns

The Associated Press reports that Mike Pelfrey was optioned to Triple-A to make way for Jorge Sosa. Sosa is slated to be activated from the 15-day disabled list and start tomorrow against the Padres in San Diego.
Pelfrey is 0-7 with a 6.12 ERA this season with 8 starts. Sosa is 7-3 with a 3.92 ERA.

News: Williams DFA’d

According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the Mets designated LHP Dave Williams for assignment following Saturday’s game.
The move was made in order to activate LHP Oliver Perez from the disabled list. Perez will start the series finale vs. the Reds.
Williams allowed eight runs on 10 hits over 3.1 IP last Sunday vs. the Astros.
