Prior to today’s game, Orlando Hernandez threw a successful bullpen session, experiencing no pain.
El Duque told reporters that he will throw a anoter bullpen session this weekend, get a second cortisone shot, and hopefully start next week against either the Braves of Phillies.

…from what i can gather, it’s likely to reveal a strained hip flexor, which is not that big of a deal…if it’s a grade one, he should be back by the weekend…fingers crossed…
According to Peter Gammons, in a report for ESPN.com, Peter Gammons, Pedro Martinez will next start on Sunday at Shea Stadium against Houston and then on September 15 at Shea against the Phillies, both of which are day games at home, which is by design.
