According to David Lennon of Newsday, the Mets released Freddy Garcia from Triple-A Buffalo.
Garcia will be replaced on the roster by Nelson Figueroa, who will start tonight against Triple-A Rochester.
Wily Mo Pena will be added to the Triple-A roster as well.

The 31-year-old Perez was 7-12 with a 4.54 ERA for the Nationals in 2008.
