The Texas Rangers released Orlando Hernandez from his minor-league contract yesterday
El Duque was 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA in eight relief appearances for AAA Oklahoma.

Health: Castro’s Hammy, El Duque and Pedro

Ramon Castro caught five innings and had two hits in an extended spring training game yesterday, while working to return from a strained hamstring.
The team’s Ass’t GM John Ricco told reporters that Castro is still unable to run at “100 percent.”
Ricco also told reporters that both Orlando Hernandez and Pedro Martinez will travel to New York to be re-examined.
