To add something... Mets fans complain all year that changes need to be made at Citi Field.... The Mets announce they will be making changes at Citi Field... now Mets fans are complaining that the Mets put out a press release saying they're going to make the changes that the fans have been calling for at Citi Field.

I know all this heartbreak can make you crazy, but c'mon people!

Seaver, Hodges, Stengel. Seaver, Hodges, Stengel. Seaver, Hodges, Stengel. Seaver, Hodges, Stengel. Seaver, Hodges, Stengel. Seaver, Hodges, Stengel. Anyone else ever wear a Mets uniform?

It is all too little, too late. And I'm glad it will take a "new committee" to determine whether Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Mike Piazza, etc, etc, etc. are worthy of joining Lindsay Nelson and Joan Payson in the Mets Hall of Fame. Give me a break.

haha thanks, I am just really eager for some winning in Queens after the last three years, it just really breaks my heart how far we've fallen. I really don't always have a strong opinion about trades etc like i'd like matt holliday or jason bay but i don't feel that strongly about either one, i just feel really strongly that we need to get on doc, he is going to go somewhere and it should be here, it would be finally something to look forward 2, the best 1, 2 punch and i have faith in maine and ollie and pelf next year so adding doc would be a significant upgrade

and i do like the johnson scenarios but i feel like the marlins wouldn't trade him to us? would they? idk

These are all very nice changes. That said... I loved Citi Field in its first year, too, and never understood all the loud complaining. That said... looking forward to seeing the new looks to the park next year!

Also, if the team stunk last year, and so many fans thought the park stunk last year... can we just call 2009 a mulligan and do-over the first year of Citi next year?

Because the Marlins are cheap! How many times have you seen them tore down a team after a championship? They make more money by keeping salary low and raking in money from revenue sharing.

This is very good news. I dont care why its being done, press release etc. Fact is its a BIG improvement over what was originally done. I think the designers and the wilpons were very careless about the history of the Mets as well as how passionate the fans are about this team. Shame on them but lets move on.

good stuff.

I understand you and did not mean to discourage you from posting. I hope he makes a big move as well but I just hope it's not making a move to make a move, that will hurt the team in the future. It's tough because with all the needs, they could go in so many directions.

Amen!!!! He won't cripple us financially for the next decade and we can get Cantu to play first base too. Leaving payroll room for our other needs at catcher and bullpen.

Forget Halladay he'll cripple us financially for years to come. Johnson/Cantu is the trade to go after. I would love A-Gon but don't think we can compete with Sox and Yanks farm. Bedard/Sheets/Harden incentive pact for 1 or 2 of them and Bay for LF. Which still leaves payroll room for catcher and bullpen help.

Exactly, maybe Lackey as a 3 or even Bedard/Sheets/Harden or even Wolf at that point. LF i'm not so sure we'll get Holliday nor Bay. Does anyone know if F-mart is healed from his injury? I wouldn't mind giving him one more shot to see if he's the real deal or not.
